MINUTES FROM JUNE 9, 2005 meeting were approved as written.

TREASURER'S REPORT:  Dean Wilson indicated the bank balance for the NAC is $2,384.99.

The NAC earned $300 for Community Booth management.  The NAC earned $797.14 for city clean-up day.

Officers Scott Burke and Greg Manus distributed hand-out indicating numbers of police calls in our neighborhood.  Crime numbers have fallen.  There was discussion regarding neighborhood traffic problems.

Deputy Alan Cattron -Wash Co Sheriff Office, showed a video of meth problems in Washington County.

This video, "Crystal Misery,"  will be shown in junior high schools and high schools as well as town halls.

BCCI report:  Craig Bass gave an update.  Neighborhood Summit will be a one-day event presented by the City of Beaverton.  Different topics will be available to discuss.

Clean up Day:  Marv Doty gave a report.   Our NAC earned 32% more than any other NAC.  Attendance increased this year.

COMMUNITY BOOTH

Dean Wilson indicated that the Community Booth is not yet booked for October 22.   Marv asked that October 22 be used for the Oregon Food Bank.  There was not a quotum present, so a vote on this matter will be taken up at the next meeting.

Marv Doty indicated that tongs and the cash box have been consistently missing, therefore, each user must bring his own tongs and cash box.   It would be desirable if we could get our own tent each time but items get jumbled up in the truck and we frequently don't get our own tent.    The tables need repair.

Dean Wilson asked that the 2005 users of the Community Booth have priority for 2006.  They will be

given the opportunity to have the booth on the same dates they had this year.    It was agreed by consensus.

BEAVERTON PARADE will be held September 17.  Jeff Menzel will ride in the parade as NAC Chair.

SCHOOL AWARDS:  Dean Wilson asked that our two schools, Fir Grove and Highland receive $300 each for school awards.   There was no quorum so the vote will be taken at the next meeting.

ELECTION OF THE BOARD MEMBERS AND OFFICERS FOR NEXT YEAR.  Bill Young indicated that the bylaws state that the October meeting is the NAC's annual meeting.  It was agreed that a nominating committee would be appointed in October.

AN ALL-NEIGHBORHOOD newsletter should be written and mailed out.  The City will mail it for us.

EVAN AND JOAN LLOYD will be leaving the NAC as they are moving to Salem.  They have been caretakers of the "circle garden" at Hart and Sorrento.  It will be necessary to find volunteers who will take this responsibility.  Some manual watering is required.

It was noted that the embankment on Wilson Avenue next to Highland Middle School is very unkempt and needs attention.    It is the responsibility of the THPRD to maintain this embankment.   Marv Doty

said he would call the Park District and bring this matter to their attention.

MEETING ADJOURNED at 9 pm.
